I sit here tapping out my blog in my air-conditioned room, which was a late addition to the house. Which leads me on to my next point about Thai construction, not only the lack of building codes but they are quite happy to have all the wires and plumbing to the house exposed. Which is not only cheaper but also due to the fact of the solid concrete construction. So you will see this everywhere you go in

Als pad
Ok well it’s been a while since I have posted a blog so I thought the best place to start would be the palace I call home. Situated in Samut Prakarn the industrial area of Bangkok on the Bangna Trad Highway . The house has 3 levels. The first is a semi office/warehousing, second is the kitchen/dining/lounge and the third is the bedroom and breakfast area. The house was built in 1994 with a cost of only 13M baht. Constructed of solid concrete and finished with marble and teak (which is incredibly abundant here). It is a semi traditional Thai home with modern applications.
